Repeat from step 3!
The Artist Mentorship Project is facilitated by Ruth Soderlund, a Fresno artist who completed her BA in Studio Art at Fresno State in 2023. The relationships she has made with artists decades older and decades younger than her helped her see how valuable intergenerational friendship could be for the arts. This project is designed to provide that connection for all.

Values
Connection
Artists often are solitary creatures and sometimes connecting with others needs to be planned for. Regular meet ups with like-minded creatives fuels creativity and creates a strong community.
Understanding
As creative individuals, we approach life with curiosity. We look for ways to learn from each others’ experiences so that what we create is well-informed.
Collaboration
Group projects aren’t always fun, but working together can stretch us and allow us to achieve much greater things than if we go it alone. There is vulnerability in sharing ideas, asking for and receiving help. Together we can do more.
Inspiration
Sharing our stories with others can spark new thoughts and ideas. No matter the level of professional experience, when we show up authentically, we create an environment for inspiration.
